The Mahale Range, running across the park, includes the towering Mount Nkungwe, which stands at 2,462 meters. Rich in biodiversity, the park's ecosystems range from montane forests to miombo woodland, providing habitats for an array of wildlife, including roan antelope, red colobus monkeys, and numerous bird species.
